I just can't get over how stinkin' adorable they are!

Unfortunately I didn't have as much yellow food coloring as I thought I did so half of the batch is a little more red than I would have liked.

I'm thinking that James' friends won't mind one though.

I also decided to use pretzel sticks for the stems instead of Popsicle sticks.

First of all pretzel sticks are a heck of a lot cheaper AND now the entire thing is edible.

I for one won't be eating any though.

I LOVE me some sugar but I seriously don't think I could even stomach all that sweetness.

Tomorrow I am going to go through my ribbon and find some green to tie on the top.

I just had to show you now -- I was so excited about how cute they turned out!

These Placemat Leaf Pillows are sooooo cute.  I'm a Little disappointed though because when I went to Wal-mart I couldn't find the placemats.  Now that I think of it though, they were probably in the seasonal.  Silly me looked where all of the other kitchen stuff is.  I'm going to have to check it out the next time I go.  Leave some for me if you grab yourself a few. PLEASE!

Have You Been "Boo'ed"?

I found the coolest thing to do with my kids this year for Halloween.  The nest part about it is that you can do it now - no need to wait until Halloween day!  If you're a teacher, this would be an awesome project for your students to do as well.  The easiest thing is that you only have to do a few so it won't break the budget!!

$4 Wreath - Seriously!

Here it is!

The Dollar Tree is heaven to me on some days.  Don't you just have those days where you just HAVE to spend some money and buy something new?

NO?!?!?!  Oh....well I do....a lot...

When it comes to cheap crafts, the Dollar Tree is where it's at.  Everything is a BUCK!  I seriously can't pass that up especailly when I can make something cute.  That could be why my hubby thinks I'm going to bankrupt us on my weekly innocent trips to the Dollar Tree.

Here is what you need

One wreath

Two strands of garland

One roll of ribbon

TOTAL $4

Originally, I was going to wrap the garland around the wreath but I decided against it.  Therefore, I cut all of the pieces off of the garland and hot glued them sporadically until I thought it looked like it should.  I certainly could have used three garlands but then that would have been another $1.  I have to keep this uber-cheap!  Add a bow and you're all done!

Do you think hubby will notice that something new is on the front door that he has NEVER seen before?  Maybe the prettiness will keep him from knowing I went to the Dollar Tree, again...probably not!

Nevertheless, I think it turned out fantabulous and that's all that matters to me :)

Guess What I've Been Doing...

My posts have been pretty boring lately; I think. If you remember, I was planning a baby shower, am still planning a 40th b-day party {which I haven't started yet}, bridal shower {which I havne't started yet} and wedding.  Mind you the b-day party and bridal shower are only about four weeks away and the wedding is not six weeks away.

These wedding invites have got to get done SOON since they need to be in the mail like um.....this week sometime. I'm almost done. Just have to get some RSVP cards and directions printed.

This is the back.  We originally stamped this to be on the front under the vellum paper but it was too busy...therefore it is now the back.  I hope it looks like it was made to be that way and not just a screw up :/

Now on with the baby shower this past weekend...

A New and Long Lost Craft

To start with, I found these Pom Poms made out of tissue paper.  Leanne over at Organize and Decorate Everything shares a wonderful tutorial.  I have been patiently waiting for a party in which I would make them for.  Now I have a baby shower, birthday party, and a wedding all coming within the nest month and a hald, so I thought I would try them first for the baby shower.

The theme is Noah's Ark and my dear friend, Christina and her husband Tim opted to do things the old fashioned way and not find out the sex of the baby.  I think that's cool.  We did that with James and it was like Christmas morning times 1000!!

There are four of us hosting and since it is at my house I am going to be responsible for decorations.  I chose to do green and orange simply because yellow just seems to plain.  My friend, Beth, came over today and we made four tissue Pom Poms.  We thought it would take us awhile but it was very quick and easy to do.  I am going tomorrow to get more tissue paper {some with designs like Leanne's} to make more. 

Do you like them?

I still haven't quite decided if I am going to hang them from the ceiling, the mantle or what.  I have a couple more weeks to figure that out.

Now for the Long Lost Craft -

My mother went to her lake house this weekend and was cleaning out my grandmothers trailer since it was being sold and she came across this...

Can you tell what it is?  It's a flour sack tea towel that I embroidered on when I was about "10 years old".  I remember doing these all the time when I went to the lake to see my grandma and grandpa.  I can't believe that there is actually one that looks like it's never been used.  My grandma always used these towels so me getting one is very special.  It could be that it was never used because the little boy and cat are missing eyes.  I think it's been waiting for 24 years for me to finish it!

I can't decide whether to put eyes on them or leave it as it is...I'm thinking I'll leave it.

Sorry for the bad pic quality.  Honestly I was just to lazy to get up and get out my camera and upload so my phone was the closest thing to me.

I am seeing colored vases EVERYWHERE and Be Different Act Normal had a guest blogger who did a tutorial on exactly that!  I am on the lookout for the perfect vases now.  I love how vibrant the colors are!!

Have any leftover scrapbook paper??  Here is an awesome tutorial for a spot where you can't find the perfect picture.  I'm going to do this in my hallway, I'm thinking!

Classy Rose Petal Towels

I think these turned out BEAUTIFUL!  They are so classy that I am wanting to keep them for myself BUT.....I won't.  They looked so good on my oven doors while they posed for the pic.  Don't you think?

Mother's Day "MOM" Block

Remember THIS post that I talked about?  I finally got together with my niece and a friend last night and we worked on these for Mother's Day.  I have to say I am impressed with how they turned out! 

Here is a closeup of the buttons that I put on to match the paper (mine is the pink, the green is actually on the paper)...

Here is a closeup of the ribbon I put on the sides with the flower stamps.  I HEART stamping now!!  My friend Beth brought a bunch of stamps over and now I have a newfound crafting medium :) 

I'm wishing now that I would have made a couple more for my mother-in-laws. :( They may have to wait until another holiday. If I wouldn't want until the last minute to do everything I might have had time. They will be getting another creation and now I am off to make it. Told you I was a last minute girl :)


I hope my mother likes it!  She will be given permission to continue reading my blog after tomorrow!  She has been forbidden to read posts lately and I think she's missing them.  Since I moved a little further away it's her way to still know what's going on in my crazy world.  LOVE YA MOM!!!  YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
